Grant Guidelines
-
This grant is meant to fund a new initiative that promotes vitality and is sustainable within your ministry. It is NOT to be used to fund capital/building improvements, unless capital improvements are an essential part of the new initiative.
-
Grants can be used to re-vision and re-invent an existing ministry.
-
Be creative! Think with a broad perspective. Dream beyond what you have!
-
Grants can be a one-time amount or can be given in payments over a set amount of time depending on the needs of your ministry's initiative. Grant cycles will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
-
Grants can be used to support Cooperative Congregations or Churches coming together for a coordinated effort.
If chosen as a grant recipient, your ministry can expect to:
-
Be excited! Dream! Be asked about your spiritual discernment for this request.
-
Receive a liaison from Salem Presbytery's Church Growth and Transformation committee (CGAT) for support; Identify one liaison from your ministry to work directly and be the main contact for CGAT.
-
Welcome and expect regular check-ins from your CGAT liaison.
-
Share updates with CGAT quarterly throughout the determined grant cycle.
