*What is health ministry?* Health ministry is many different things in many different churches. Health ministry can be as simple as reaching out to a member in poor health all the way to holding a health fair that reaches out to the greater community or getting an automatic defibrillator with training for all. Many churches have a nurse to support them, some provide these services through deacons or wellness committees.
Does your church already do any of these things? Meals to the sick Hospital visits Visits to members at home CPR Classes Then you are on your way to a formal health ministry! Take it one step further to support your members in wellness! What can you do? Invite the Parish Nurse Regional Coordinator to visit your church Ask a nurse or other health care professional in your church to contact the Parish Nurse Regional Coordinator about supporting your congregation in this ministry Talk to your pastor about reaching out to the Parish Nurse Regional Coordinator *How can you find out more?* Contact the Salem Presbytery Parish Nursing Consultant!
